butyl (chemical identification:isobutylene isoprene-IIR):is produced by copolymerizing isobutylene with small amounts of isoprene. These rubbers have excellent impermeability to gases, outstanding dielectric properties, good resistance to tearing, good aging properties at elevated temperatures and good chemical stability.
