VP Virtual Prototyping. Virtual Prototyping is a software-based engineering discipline that entails modelling a mechanical system, simulating and visualizing its 3D motion behavior under real-world operating conditions, and refining/optimizing the design through iterative design studies.... prior to building the first physical prototype. Synonym: mechanical system simulation.

VP In the vapour-phase soldering process the vapour surrounding the work is maintained at the optimum solder-wetting temperature. This is accomplished by boiling an inert liquid in a tank. The boiling point is approximately 215 o C. When the work is held in the vapour just above the liquid, the heat at that temperature is transferred to all surfaces quite uniformly. Such a reflow system was used in the early days of SMT. ...

VP A measure of how readily a material will evaporate. The lower the vapor pressure, the slower it evaporates. VAPOR DENSITY - A measure of how heavy a vapor is compared to air, which has a vapor density of 1. VAPORS - The gaseous form of substances that are normally solids or liquids at room temperature. (Vapors and gases are not fumes.) VERTIGO - A feeling of revolving in space, dizziness. VISCOSITY - Resistance to flow exhibited by a liquid. ...
