| rifampicin |
Rifampicin is a very potent, relatively non-toxic drug and is easily administered. The daily dose for adults and children is 10 mg/kg up to 600 mg, and the intermittent dose is the same. Rifampicin is excreted in urine, tears, sweat, and other body fluid and it colours them orange. Rifampicin may be used safely during pregnancy.
