RFLP Restriction fragment length polymorphism
Ãâó: www.gramene.org/documentation/glossary/
RFLP A variation in DNA sequence that is easily recognized because it occurs at a site where a restriction enzyme cuts a specific sequence, producing DNA fragments of varying lengths. RFLP's often serve as genetic markers.
Ãâó: www.proteinstrukturfabrik.de/glossary.html
RFLP A technique which detects polymorphisms between two people, such as single base changes or different sized minisatellites. The common feature is that when digested with a restriction endonuclease, DNA products are generated which are different lengths.
Ãâó: pathology2.jhu.edu/molec/glossary.cfm
RFLP Variation in the length of a stretch of DNA. Alternately, a method of analysing DNA which relies on these variations to distinguish between sample sources.
