Master Requirements Code: A code assigned to each different approved Federal Item Identification Guide/FIIG Requirement. The MRC serves to identify the item characteristic defined by the requirement. For ENACs, when the cataloger answers the correct MRCs with the appropriate reply, an ENAC will be generated based on that answer in the Identification Segment of FLIS.

A national organization (sometimes State-controlled) that collects mechanical fees in a particular country and pays the royalties back to the producers or artists. In the USA the main MRCS is the Harry Fox Agency.
