| 설명 | 장기 조직을 구성하고 있는 세포가 원래의 구조는 유지하면서 수적 변동없이 그 용적만 커진 상태. 결과적으로 그 조직 장기의 용적과 중량이 불어나게 되는 것을 말한다. 이때 세포가 커진 것은 세포종창 또는 부종과 같이 수분 흡수가 증가한 것이 아니고 세포 내 구조물의 합성이 증가되기 때문이다. 비대는 생리적 혹은 병적일 수 있고 기능적 부하가 증대되거나 또는 특별한 내분비 자극에 의해 일어난다. 비대는 다음과 같이 분류할 수 있다. ① 작업비대: 운동선수의 근육, 고혈압이나 판막증의 심장근, 임신자궁의 비대 등, ② 대상성 비대: 한쪽 콩팥을 적출하였을 때 다른 쪽 콩팥에서 일어나는 비대 등, ③ 호르몬성 비대: 뇌하수체호르몬의 작용으로 거단증-거인증이 생기는 경우 등, ④ 염증성 비대: 만성염에 있어서의 위나 코안점막의 비대 등, ⑤ 특발성 비대: 다모증-비늘증-내장비대증 등과 같은 원인불명의 선천성 발육이상에 의한 비대 등이 있다. |

| 설명 | 의도적-인위적으로 야기되는 인간의 특수한 상태 및 그것이 원인 되어 생기는 심리적-생리적인 일련의 현상들. 인위적으로 유발된 혼수상태로서 몽유증과 비슷하다. 이 상태에서 최면에 걸린 사람은 암시에 대하여 고도의 감수성을 나타내며 다른 것은 모두 잊어버리고 시술자의 명령에 신속히 반응한다. 상태는 수면과 각성의 중간적 특징, 특히 잠들 때의 상태와 비슷하나 수면과 분명히 구별된다. 피암시성이 현저히 항진되어 평소와는 다른 의식성이 특징이며, 의식이나 운동-지각-기억-사고-상상-감정 등의 여러 심리학적 활동, 뇌파와 근전도, 위장, 순환계, 자율신경계 등의 생리학적 활동의 변화를 볼 수 있다. 최면을 유도하는 수단을 ‘최면법’이라 하고 타인에 의해 유도되는 것을 ‘타자최면’, 자기 자신이 유도하는 것을 ‘자기최면’이라 한다. 둘 다 준비된 일련의 암시 계열에 차례차례 반응시킴으로써 암시에 대한 반응의 용이성, 즉 피암시성을 서서히 항진시키면서 아울러 의식성의 변화도 강화하는 것이 골자이다. |
