an entry-level placement test administered to incoming freshmen that identifies specific remediation needs. Subtests include Reading (R), Sentence Structure (W), Arithmetic Skills (M), and Elementary Algebra (A). College Level Math (I) is optional. CPT is the primary test used by Valencia for entry-level testing. ACT or SAT scores above designated levels may also be used.
