the visual analogue scale consists of a line, usually 10 cm long, whose ends are labeled as the extremes (ie, 0 = no pain, 10 = pain as bad as it could be), the rest of line is blank. Graphic rating scales have specific points along the line labeled with intensity denoting adjectives (also called adjectival scales) or numbers. In both VAS and GRS the patient is asked to put a mark on the line. The distance between that mark and the 0 point is measured to obtain the patients score.

The volume of air that offers the same degree of restoring force on the cone as that of the cone's suspension. Volt: The unit of electrical potential, or difference in electrical pressure, expressing the difference between two electrical charges. Voltage is the force that makes electrons move from where they are overcrowded to where they are scarce. It isn'ta measure of how many electrons are moving. (that's electrical current, which is measured in amperes).
