| Servetus |
Michael (Sp. Miguel Serveto), 1511–1553. Spanish theologian in France and Austria who also wrote, among other subjects, on geography, astrology, and medicine. His Christianismi restitutio (1553) contains the first printed description of the lesser circulation. Servetus was burned at the stake in Geneva for heresy the same year and most copies of his book were burned, although three copies survived.
