radiance The radiant flux as Watts per unit soled angle per unit of projected area of the source in units described as watts/m2/steradian. Steradain (sr) is the unit solid angular measurement, being the subtended surface area of a sphere divided by the square of the sphere radius. There are four steradians in a sphere. For instance the solid angle subtended by a cone of a half angle is 2 (1-cosine) steradians.

radian the SI unit of measurement of plane angles, equal to the angle subtended to the center of a circle by an arc whose length is equal to the radius of the circle. One radian equals 360°/2π or approximately 57.296°.
