podophyllum r. [USP]  a powdered mixture of resins removed from podophyllum by percolation with alcohol and subsequent precipitation upon addition of acidified water; used as a topical caustic in the treatment of laryngeal papillomas, condylomata acuminata, keratoses, and other epitheliomas; available as a 25 per cent solution in alcohol, which may be diluted for use.
