| oxidopamine | <chemical> 5-(2-aminoethyl)-1,2,4-benzenetriol. A catecholamine, vasoactive neurotoxic compound which depletes noradrenergic stores in nerve endings and induces a reduction of dopamine levels in the brain. The compound has been used clinically for purging of neuroblastoma cells prior to autologous bone marrow transplantation.
