lamination A method of mounting photographic, holographic or copy-art documents that consists of permanently attaching them to a rigid medium using a uniform adhesive and protecting the surface with a transparent plastic film. Laminating protects the documents from almost all ultra-violet rays and provides a smooth finish on glass, Plexiglas, wood, cardboard, metal or other material.
