Brown Portrayer: Tichina Arnold (1987-1989) Zena was adopted by the Ryans and a good friend of Jack (who she saw as a father figure) and Ryan Fenelli who came from one of the less desireable parts of New York City. At one point in her life, she was unfortunately involved in drug trafficing, and when she reformed she was tracked down by one of the people she had known. All ended well for Zena. In the final episode, she served as a bridesmaid for the wedding of Jack and Leigh Kirkland.

brownian motion Named after the Scottish botanist Robert Brown who discovered it among pollen grains on water during his studies of plant sexual behaviour. Tiny particles suspended in fluid, such as dust in cigarette smoke or Brown's pollen grains, when and seen through microscope, are in a constant state of random motion. The phenomenon occurs because the particles are so small that they visibly move on collision with molecules of fluid. This is evidence that molecules themselves are in constant random motion.
