| 설명 | 태아에서 소아기와 청년기를 거쳐 성장이 완료된 시점에서 노년기까지의 기간 보통 20~60세까지를 말한다. 한창 일할 시기로서 사회생활과 가정생활에 있어서 충실하게 노력하는 시기이기도 하다. 그러나 체력은 25세를 정점으로 연령과 함께 하강선을 걷는 시기에 해당하며, 특히 40세 중반을 고비로 체력과 운동능력이 쇠약해지기 때문에 적당한 운동이 필요하게 되는 시기이기도 하다. 또 암, 당뇨병, 심장병, 고혈압, 동맥경화증 등 소위 성인병이 나타나는 때이며, 특히 심근경색, 뇌중풍 등과 같은 동맥경화가 원인이 되는 질환이 40대에 증가하는 경향이 있기 때문에 정기적으로 검진을 받아 병의 예방과 조기발견에 신경을 써야 하는 시기이다. |
