an estrogen antagonist used to treat infertility caused by a failure to ovulate properly (it is also used to treat postmenopausal breast cancer). The dose for infertility depends on the menstrual cycle. In women who are having regular periods, the treatment usually begins by taking 20 mg on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th days of the menstrual cycle.
