Renin Angiotensin System - chemical system in the human body, made up of renin, ACE, and angiotensin II. Renin is an enzyme produced in the kidney. It acts on angiotensinogen (produced by the liver) forming angiotensin I. The converting enzyme contained in the lung (ACE) converts angiotensin I to angiotensin II.
