a reactive, low-molecular-weight compound with a wide variety of industrial uses, including the manufacture of dyes, pharmaceuticals, and insecticides, and as a hardener for resins. It is an allergen that causes skin irritation, and if its fumes are inhaled it can cause epoxy resin lung, a form of hypersensitivity pneumonitis.
