a proposed genus of gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic, rod-shaped bacteria of the family Enterobacteriaceae. The organisms belong to enteric group 40. The type species is E. america´na.

a bone sarcoma most commonly found in teenagers. It is named after the doctor who first identified it. There are rare instances of Ewing's tumours in soft tissue.
