[top] The European Social Fund (ESF) is the main financial tool through which the European Union (EU) translates its strategic employment policy aims into action. The ESF is one of four EU Structural Funds. Their common goal is to reduce the differences in living standards between the people and regions of the European Union. The ESF helps to develop employment by; promoting employability, the business spirit and equal opportunities and by investing in human resources.
