a genus of Fungi Imperfecti of the form-class Hyphomycetes, form-family Moniliaceae. Some species cause apple wilt, and some contain trichothecenes and can cause alimentary toxic aleukia. A species called V. gra´phii, isolated from otitis externa and mycotic keratitis, may actually be a species of Trichosporon.
