| 설명 | 관 혹은 통로에 있는 막과 같은 주름. 내용물의 역류를 막는다. 1.심장판막: 우심방과 우심실사이의 삼첨판, 좌심방과 좌심실사이의 승모판, 우심실과 폐동맥사이의 폐동맥반월판, 좌심실과 대동맥사이의 대동맥반월판이 있다. 2.정맥판막: 정맥에서 발견되는 내막의 작은 첨 혹은 주름. 탄력성이 적어 역류되기 쉬운 정맥혈의 흐름을 역류없이 정상적인 방향으로 지속되도록 해준다. 3.인공판막: 심장판막부족이나 심장판막협착이 있어 더이상 자신의 판막으로는 생존이 불가능할 때 대신 이식하게 되는 인공판막을 말한다. 크게 동물의 조직을 이용한 것과 그렇지 않은 것으로 양분할 수 있다. 동물의 조직을 이용한 것은 주로 돼지나 소의 판막 또는 심외막 등을 이용하며, 그렇지 않은 것은 특수한 금속을 이용하여 만든다. |

| slipped disc | <orthopaedics> A condition that results in the abnormal protrusion (bulging), herniation or prolapse of a vertebral disc from its normal position in the vertebral column. The displaced disc may exert force on a nearby nerve root causing the typical neurologic symptoms of radiating pain (to an extremity), numbness, tingling and weakness. Recurrent episodes of severe back pain are common. Treatment includes non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, corticosteroids and rest. | disc electrophoresis | Short for discontinuous electrophoresis, it is a type of polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. This electrophoresis method uses gels of two different concentrations of polyacrylamide (a synthetic polymer), the one of lower concentration stacked on top of the one with higher concentration, in order to better resolve bands of whatever is being separated (DNA, RNA, or protein) that would otherwise be very close together. | imaginal disc | Epithelial infoldings in the larvae of holometabolous insects (e.g. Lepidoptera, Diptera) that rapidly develop into adult appendages (legs, antennae, wings etc.) during metamorphosis from larval to adult form. By implanting discs into the haemocoele of an adult insect their differentiation can be blocked, though their determination remains unchanged except occasionally (transdetermination). | intercalated disc | An electron dense junctional complex, at the end to end contacts of cardiac muscle cells, that contains gap junctions and desmosomes. most of the disc is formed of a convoluted fascia adherens type of junction into which the actin filaments of the terminal sarcomeres insert (they are therefore equivalent to half Z bands), desmosomes are also present. | electrophoresis, disc | Electrophoresis in which discontinuities in both the voltage and pH gradients are introduced by using buffers of different composition and pH in the different parts of the gel column.
