theca cell t. a fibroidlike tumor of the ovary containing yellow areas of lipoid material derived from theca cells. It may be associated with excessive production of estrogen and have a tendency to cystic degeneration. These tumors are rarely composed entirely of theca cells; commonly both theca and granulosa cells are found. Called also thecoma and fibroma thecocellulare xanthomatodes.
