| 설명 | 여러 기관 혹은 부분에서 심장으로 되돌아가는 혈액이 흐르는 혈관. 폐정맥을 제외한 모든 정맥은 산소가 적은 혈액을 운반한다. 정맥은 동맥에서와 같이 내막, 중막 및 외막을 갖고 있으나, 막은 두껍지 않으며, 혈관이 절단되면 허혈상태로 된다. 많은 정맥에는 내막의 중복에 의해 형성된 판이 있으며, 이것은 말초쪽으로의 혈액의 역류를 방지한다. |
