a diverse group of tumors derived from the ovarian stroma; many of them secrete sex hormones. Included are granulosa-theca cell tumor, hilar cell tumor, lipoid cell tumor, arrhenoblastoma, and gynandroblastoma. Called also sex cord–stromal t's.
