In 525/60, 2: 1 interlaced video, the V scan is repeated at the field rate (which is half of the frame rate for 2: 1 interlaced video) so that 525 H scans take place 30 times a second. This test may be used to detect and evaluate atrial septal defect, dilated cardiomyopathy, congestive heart failure, cardiomyopathy, Lyme disease (secondary), mitral stenosis and superior vena cava syndrome.
