vena faciei profunda <anatomy, vein> The communicating vein that passes from the pterygoid venous plexus of the infratemporal fossa to the facial vein; it is devoid of valves.

vena profunda femoris <anatomy, vein> The vein that accompanies the deep femoral artery, receiving perforating veins from the lateral and posterior aspects of the thigh. It joins the femoral vein in the femoral triangle, usually in common with the medial and lateral circumflex femoral veins.
