| processus styloideus ossis temporalis | A slender pointed projection running downward and slightly forward from the base of the inferior surface of the petrous portion of the temporal bone where it joins the tympanic portion; it gives attachment to the styloglossus, stylohyoid, and stylopharyngeus muscles and the stylohyoid and stylomandibular ligaments. Synonym: processus styloideus ossis temporalis. (05 Mar 2000) |

| processus uncinatus ossis ethmoidalis | A sickle-shaped process of bone on the medial wall of the ethmoidal labyrinth below the middle concha; it articulates with the ethmoidal process of the inferior concha and partly closes the orifice of the maxillary sinus. Synonym: processus uncinatus ossis ethmoidalis. (05 Mar 2000) |
| processus vaginalis ossis sphenoidalis | A thin lamina of bone that extends medially under the body of the sphenoid bone from the medial lamina of the pterygoid process; it articulates with the vomer and the palatine bone. Synonym: processus vaginalis ossis sphenoidalis, sheath process of sphenoid bone. (05 Mar 2000) |
| processus zygomaticus ossis frontalis | The massive projection of the frontal bone that joins the zygomatic bone to form the lateral margin of the orbit. Synonym: processus zygomaticus ossis frontalis. (05 Mar 2000) |
| processus zygomaticus ossis temporalis | The anterior process of the temporal bone that articulates with the temporal process of the zygomatic bone to form the zygomatic arch. Synonym: processus zygomaticus ossis temporalis. (05 Mar 2000) |
| ala orbitalis | One of a bilateral pair of triangular, pointed plates extending laterally from the anterolateral body of the sphenoid bone. Forming the posteriormost portion of the floor of the anterior cranial fossa, their sharp posterior edge forms the sphenoidal ridge separating anterior and middle cranial fossae. The medial end of the lesser wing attaches to the body by means of two pedicles, thus forming the optic canal. The wing itself forms the superior margin of the supraorbital fissure. Synonym: ala minor ossis sphenoidalis, ala orbitalis, Ingrassia's apophysis, Ingrassia's wing. (05 Mar 2000) |
| arteria zygomatico-orbitalis | <anatomy, artery> Origin, superficial temporal, sometimes middle temporal; distribution, orbicularis oculi muscle and portions of the orbit; anastomoses, lacrimal and palpebral branches of ophthalmic. Synonym: arteria zygomatico-orbitalis. (05 Mar 2000) |
| ramus orbitalis arteriae meningeae mediae | <anatomy, artery> Branch of middle meningeal artery traversing superior orbital fissure and running toward lacrimal gland. See: anastomotic branch of middle meningeal artery to lacrimal artery. Synonym: ramus orbitalis arteriae meningeae mediae. (05 Mar 2000) |
| ramus orbitalis ganglii pterygopalatini | Branches of pterygopalatine ganglion traversing inferior orbital fissure, distributed in orbit to periorbita and mucosa of ethmoidal and sphenoidal sinuses. Synonym: ramus orbitalis ganglii pterygopalatini. (05 Mar 2000) |
| pars orbitalis glandulae lacrimalis | See: lacrimal gland. (05 Mar 2000) |
| pars orbitalis musculi orbicularis oculi | pars orbitalis musculi orbicularis oculi |

| regio orbitalis | The region about the orbit. Synonym: regio orbitalis. (05 Mar 2000) |
| musculus orbitalis | <anatomy> A rudimentary nonstriated muscle, crossing the infraorbital groove and sphenomaxillary fissure, intimately united with the periosteum of the orbit. Synonym: musculus orbitalis, Muller's muscle, orbital muscle. (05 Mar 2000) |
| sutura spheno-orbitalis | Articulation between the orbital process of the palatine bone and the outer surface of the body of the sphenoid. Synonym: sutura spheno-orbitalis. (05 Mar 2000) |
