1. a large fibroadenoma in the breast, with an unusually cellular, sarcomalike stroma; it is locally aggressive and sometimes metastasizes. Called also cystosarcoma phyllodes and giant fibroadenoma of the breast. 2. a rare benign tumor of the prostate having a leaflike appearance similar to that of the phyllodes tumor of the breast; in some cases it may be premalignant.
