| oncogene proteins v-fos | Transforming proteins coded by fos oncogenes. These proteins have been found in the finkel-biskis-jinkins (fbj-msv) and finkel-biskis-reilly (fbr-msv) murine sarcoma viruses which induce osteogenic sarcomas in mice. | fusion proteins, bcr-abl | Translation products of a fusion mRNA derived from the breakpoint cluster region (bcr) gene and a cellular abl (c-abl) gene translocated to chromosome 22. The p210(bcr-abl) fusion protein is found in patients with chronic myelogenous leukaemia. The p190(bcr-abl) fusion protein is found in patients with acute lymphocytic leukaemia. | proto-oncogene protein pp60(c-src) | <enzyme> Membrane-associated tyrosine-specific kinase encoded by the c-src genes. It has an important role in cellular growth control. Truncation of carboxy-terminal residues in pp60(c-src) leads to pp60(v-src) which has the ability to transform cells.
