red Data Association The IrDA has created the IrTran Protocol. Version 1.1 allows for the transmission of data over a short distance up to 4.0 megabytes per second. This protocol allows digital cameras to transmit data directly to a printer. Generally, the IrDA Control (for bidirectional remote controllers) version and the IrMC (for mobile devices) versions are available.
