fulcrum The point or support on which a lever turns. In the adjustment, the fulcra for the atlas-lever are the superior articulating surfaces of C2. A C1 adjustment activates the atlas (lever) and moves it about the superior articulating surfaces (fulcra) of C2 . C1 subluxations are of either the first or second class lever types.
