| venereal wart | <dermatology> A disease caused by the human papilloma virus characterised by a soft wart-like growth on the genitalia (for example penis, vulva). In adults this infection is most commonly transmitted sexually. Genital warts are very common and are increasing in incidence. Safe sex practices, such as using condoms can help decrease the risk of infection. | wart hog | <zoology> Either one of two species of large, savage African wild hogs of the genus Phacochoerus. These animals have a pair of large, rough, fleshy tubercles behind the tusks and second pair behind the eyes. The tusks are large and strong, and both pairs curve upward. The body is scantily covered with bristles, but there is long dorsal mane. The South African species (Phacochoerus aethiopicus) is the best known. Called also vlacke vark. The second species (P.
