| pudendal haematocele | Effusion of blood into the labium majus. (05 Mar 2000) |
| pudendal hernia | A hernia protruding through the pelvic diaphragm. Synonym: levator hernia, pudendal hernia. (05 Mar 2000) |
| pudendal nerve | <anatomy, nerve> Formed by fibres from the ventral primary rami of the second, third, and fourth sacral spinal nerves; it exits the pelvis via the greater sciatic foramen, passes posterior to the sacrospinous ligament, and accompanies the internal pudendal artery, into the perineum via the lesser sciatic foramen; it gives off inferior rectal nerves, then courses through the pudendal canal in the lateral wall of the ischiorectal fossa, terminating as the dorsal nerve of the penis or of the clitoris. Synonym: nervus pudendus, plexus pudendus nervosus, pudic nerve. (05 Mar 2000) |
| pudendal sac | A pear-shaped encapsulated collection of connective tissue and fat in each labium majus. Synonym: Broca's pouch. (05 Mar 2000) |

| pudendal ulcer | <disease, microbiology> A rare sexually transmitted disease that is caused by Calymmatobacterium granulomatis. This infection is more common in the tropical and subtropical areas such as India, Guyana and new Guinea. There are approximately 100 cases reported annually in the United States. Men are affected more often than women. It is thought to be most commonly acquired through anal intercourse. Diagnosis is via tissue biopsy or culture. Treatment includes antibiotics. (27 Sep 1997) |
| pudendal veins | See: external pudendal veins, internal pudendal vein. (05 Mar 2000) |
| small pudendal lip | One of two narrow longitudinal folds of mucous membrane enclosed in the pudendal cleft within the labia majora; posteriorly, they gradually merge into the labia majora and join to form the frenulum labiorum pudendi (fourchette); anteriorly, each labium divides into two portions which unite with those of the opposite side in front of the glans clitoridis to form the prepuce. Synonym: labium minus pudendi, small pudendal lip. (05 Mar 2000) |
| internal pudendal vein | <anatomy, vein> A tributary of the internal iliac vein that accompanies the internal pudendal artery as a single or double vessel. It drains the perineum. Synonym: vena pudenda interna. (05 Mar 2000) |
| large pudendal lip | One of two rounded folds of integument forming the lateral boundaries of the pudendal cleft. The labia majora are the female homolog of the scrotum. Synonym: labium majus pudendi, large pudendal lip. (05 Mar 2000) |
| frenulum of pudendal lips | The fold connecting the two labia minora posteriorly. Synonym: frenulum labiorum pudendi, fourchette, frenulum labiorum minorum, frenulum of pudendal lips, frenulum pudendi. (05 Mar 2000) |
| anastomotic branch of middle meningeal artery to lacrimal artery | <anatomy, artery> A branch of the middle meningeal artery arising in the cranial cavity which runs anteriorly through the superior orbital fissure to anastomose with the lacrimal artery. See: orbital branch of middle meningeal artery. Synonym: ramus anastomoticus arteriae meningeae mediae cum lacrimali. (05 Mar 2000) |
