drawer t.’s (for integrity of cruciate ligaments of knee): the knee is flexed to a 90° angle; at the femoral-tibial junction, if the tibia can be drawn too far forward there is rupture of the anterior ligaments (anterior drawer t.) and if it can be drawn too far back there is rupture of the posterior ligaments (posterior drawer t.). Called also drawer signs.
