A type of mirror, reflector or filter which selectively reflects different wavelengths of light, permitting a projector to transmit more visible light with less heating of the film. Dichroic mirrors are also used for internal convergence of 3-tube single lens video or computer projectors. Diffused Screen A type of rear-projection screen which spreads the light striking it. Screen gain is typically less than 1 but audience viewing angles are increased.
