monozygotic twins ranging from two well-developed individuals joined by a superficial connection of varying extent, usually in the frontal, transverse, or sagittal body plane (symmetrical or equal conjoined t's), to those in which only a small part of the body is duplicated or one small and incompletely developed parasitic twin is attached to a much larger and more fully developed twin (asymmetrical or unequal conjoined t's). Called also Siamese t's.
