confluent and reticulate p. a progressive, pruritic variety, probably a genodermatosis, seen chiefly in prepubescent girls; it begins in the intramammary and midback areas as keratotic pigmented papules that increase in size and spread over the trunk and other body areas. Centrally located lesions tend to become confluent and peripherally located ones to become reticulate. Called also Gougerot-Carteaud syndrome.
