  • Collagen Type IV - »õâ A non-fibrillar collagen found in the structure of BASEMENT MEMBRANE. Collagen type IV molecules assemble to form a sheet-like network which is involved in maintaining the structural integrity of basement membranes. The predominant form of the protein is comprised of two alpha1(IV) subunits and one alpha2(IV) subunit, however, at least six different alpha subunits can be incorporated into the heterotrimer.
Synonyms : 7S Collagen, Collagen Type IV, alpha1 Chain, Collagen Type IV, alpha1 Subunit, Collagen Type IV, alpha2 Chain, Collagen Type IV, alpha2 Subunit, Collagen alpha1(IV), Procollagen Type IV, Type IV (Basement Membrane) Collagen, Type IV Collagen, Collagen, 7S
  • Collagen Type IX - »õâ A fibril-associated collagen usually found crosslinked to the surface of COLLAGEN TYPE II fibrils. It is a heterotrimer containing alpha1(IX), alpha2(IX) and alpha3(IX) subunits.
Synonyms : Collagen Type IX, alpha1 Subunit, Collagen Type IX, alpha2 Subunit, Collagen Type IX, alpha3 Subunit, Collagen Type-IX, alpha1 Chain, Collagen Type-IX, alpha2 Chain, Collagen Type-IX, alpha3 Chain, Collagen alpha1(IX), Collagen alpha2(IX), Collagen alpha3(IX)
  • Collagen Type V - »õâ A fibrillar collagen found widely distributed as a minor component in tissues that contain COLLAGEN TYPE I and COLLAGEN TYPE III. It is a heterotrimeric molecule composed of alpha1(V), alpha2(V) and alpha3(V) subunits. Several forms of collagen type V exist depending upon the composition of the subunits that form the trimer.
    Synonyms : Collagen Type V, alpha1 Chain, Collagen Type V, alpha1 Subunit, Collagen Type V, alpha2 Chain, Collagen Type V, alpha2 Subunit, Collagen Type V, alpha3 Chain, Collagen Type V, alpha3 Subunit, Collagen alpha1(V), Collagen alpha2(V), Collagen alpha3(V)
  • Collagen Type VI - »õâ A non-fibrillar collagen that forms a network of MICROFIBRILS within the EXTRACELLULAR MATRIX of CONNECTIVE TISSUE. The alpha subunits of collagen type VI assemble into antiparallel, overlapping dimers which then align to form tetramers.
Synonyms : Collagen Type VI, alpha1 Chain, Collagen Type VI, alpha1 Subunit, Collagen Type VI, alpha2 Subunit, Collagen Type VI, alpha3 Chain, Collagen Type VI, alpha3 Subunit, Collagen Type-VI, alpha2 Chain, Collagen alpha1(VI), Collagen alpha2(VI), Collagen alpha3(VI)
  • Collagen Type VII - »õâ A non-fibrillar collagen involved in anchoring the epidermal BASEMENT MEMBRANE to underlying tissue. It is a homotrimer comprised of C-terminal and N-terminal globular domains connected by a central triple-helical region.
Synonyms : Collagen Type VII, alpha1 Chain, Collagen Type VII, alpha1 Subunit, Collagen alpha1(VII), Procollagen Type VII, Type VII Collagen, Type VII Procollagen, Collagen, Type VII, Procollagen, Type VII, Type VII, Procollagen
