Withdrawal of the penis from the vagina just before ejaculation. It is thought to be the oldest method of contraception and is mentioned in the Book of Genesis. The method is not reliable (failure rate is above 15%) because small amounts of sperm containing seminal fluid may be emitted before full sensation leading to ejaculation is felt. Unwanted conceptions may carry the risk of conflict, resentment and prenatal/postnatal neglect. ...
