anthropoid pelvis Pelvis in which the brim is oval in shape, with an increase in the anteroposterior diameter and a corresponding decrease in the transverse diameter; the sacrum is long and narrow and may contain six vertebrae from fusion of the fifth lumbar vertebra wit the sacrum.
