  • Angiogenesis Modulating Agents - »õâ Agents that modulate the PHYSIOLOGIC ANGIOGENESIS process. This is accomplished by endogenous ANGIOGENIC PROTEINS and a variety of other chemicals and pharmaceutical agents.
Synonyms : Angiogenesis Modulators, Modulators, Angiogenesis
  • Angiogenic Proteins - »õâ Intercellular signaling peptides and proteins that regulate the proliferation of new blood vessels under normal physiological conditions (ANGIOGENESIS, PHYSIOLOGICAL). Aberrant expression of angiogenic proteins during disease states such as tumorigenesis can also result in PATHOLOGICAL ANGIOGENESIS.
    Synonyms : Angiogenic Peptides
  • Angiography - »õâ Radiography of blood vessels after injection of a contrast medium.
    Synonyms : Angiographies, Arteriographies
  • Angiography, Digital Subtraction - »õâ A method of delineating blood vessels by subtracting a tissue background image from an image of tissue plus intravascular contrast material that attenuates the X-ray photons. The background image is determined from a digitized image taken a few moments before injection of the contrast material. The resulting angiogram is a high-contrast image of the vessel. This subtraction technique allows extraction of a high-intensity signal from the superimposed background information. The image is thus the result of the differential absorption of X-rays by different tissues.
    Synonyms :
  • Angioid Streaks - »õâ Small breaks in the elastin-filled tissue of the retina.
Synonyms : Angioid Streak, Streak, Angioid, Streaks, Angioid
