(1930-) Computer executive, US president candidate, billionaire. Born in Texas. As a determined child he sold newspapers, second-hand saddles and Christmas cards. Attended US Naval Academy then served at sea until discharge (1949-1957). Sold computers for IBM, once selling his year's quota of computers in the first 3 weeks of January. Left IBM and founded Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in 1962, eventually employing 1700 workers. Sold EDS in 1984 to General Motors for $US2. ...
