When the On Hand Stock falls below the Re-order Point a message is generated to raise a replacement order. The Re-order Point is calculated using the time needed to replenish the Stock based on historical usage and replacement Lead Times. Re-order points should not be used for material that is consumed in the manufacture of the product, MRP (Material requirements Planning) is the correct technique.
