| 설명 | 국한성인 불쾌 또는 고통스러운 감각. 생체에 침해적인 자극이 가해졌을 때 생기는 통각은 상황, 과거의 경험, 심리적인 요인에 의해 변화한다. 특징으로서 순응이 어려울 정도로 다양한 생체반응을 일으킨다. 통각은 몸통증과 내장통증으로 분류되며, 몸통증은 다시 얕은 통증과 깊은 통증으로 나뉜다. 얕은 통증은 피부나 점막의 통각으로 통점으로서 존재하며, 깊은 통증은 근육, 뼈막, 관절통이다. 통증수용기는 자유신경 종말이다. 통증 정보를 전달하는 신경섬유는 Aδ와 C인데 Aδ섬유는 빠른 통증(일차통증)을 전달하고, C섬유는 느린 통증(이차통증)을 전달한다. 통각에는 상위중추에서 하행섬유에 가하는 하행억제가 존재하여, 통각이 상위중추로 전달되는 것을 조절하고 있다. |

| cold, common | A viral upper respiratory tract infection. A contagious illness caused by a number of different types of viruses. Because of the great number of viruses that can cause a cold, the body never builds up resistance (immune) against all of them. For this reason, colds are a frequent and recurring problem. In fact, preschool children average 9 colds a year; those in kindergarten, 12 colds a year; and adolescents and adults, 7 colds per year.
