A message encryption (scrambling) program which stands for Pretty Good Privacy. It's rather technical, but basically it works as follows: you post one of your two encryption keys (or decoding key) on the Internet, and the other you keep for yourself. When someone wants to send you an encrypted e-mail message, they encrypt it with your public key, and then you decrypt it with your private key. The result is almost foolproof security.
