| 설명 | 요로폐쇄로 인하여 콩팥에서 만들어진 오줌을 모으는 깔때기와 콩팥잔이 확장되고 오줌을 만드는 기능을 하는 실질이 위축되는 현상. 요로폐쇄는 콩팥의 위에서 요도까지 어디서든지 일어날 수 있으며, 부분적 또는 완전한 폐쇄, 간헐적 또는 지속적으로, 편측성 또는 양측성으로 일어날 수 있다. 처음에는 가역적이지만, 심해지면 기능적인 장애를 유발시키게 된다. 원인은 콩팥깔때기요관 이행부의 선천성 협착, 이상혈관에 의한 요관압박-요관결석-요관협착-전립샘비대-요도협착 등 다양하다. 대체로 자각증은 적고 콩팥부위에 가벼운 둔통이 있는 정도로 경과하는 경우가 많다. |

| 설명 | 흉막강 내에 고이는 액체. 정상인도 약 10mL 정도 되는 소량의 흉수가 있어, 폐의 호흡운동 때 벽측 흉막과 장측 흉막 사이의 윤활유 역할을 한다. 각종 질병에 의하여 증가하는데, 이 증가한 액체의 성상에 따라서 누출액과 삼출액으로 구별된다. 누출액은 황색투명한 액체로서 그 비중은 1.015 이하, 단백질 함유량 3.0g/dL 이하이며, 세포성분도 적다. 창자기능상실-간기능증-콩팥질환 등에 의한 전신성 부종의 부분 증세로 나타나는 경우가 많다. 또 난소섬유종 등의 골반 내 종양에서 누출성 흉수를 수반하는 경우가 있는데, 이것을 메이그스증후군(Meigs syndrome)이라고 부른다. 삼출액은 각종 흉막염이나 고름가슴증에서 나타나는 흉수이며, 그 원인에 따라서 황색투명 또는 혼탁, 농성-혈성 등 여러 가지이지만 비중은 1.018이상, 단백질 함유랑 3.0g/dL 이상으로 누출액에 비해 고비중-고단백질이며 세포성분도 많다. 이 밖에 흉수에 림프가 섞이고 지방분이 많은 특유의 밀크색을 띠는 경우가 있는데 이것을 암죽흉수라고 부른다. 암죽흉수는 외상이나 종양 등에 의하여 흉관이나 흉곽내 림프관이 손상 또는 폐색된 경우에 발생한다. |
