| 설명 | 체온조절 중추가 이상을 초래해 체온이 계속 상승하여 지속되고 있는 상태를 말한다. 원인은 다양하며 체온조절 중추에 장애(뇌질환), 조직 장애에 의한 것이 있다. 체온은 일반적으로 겨드랑이, 입안, 곧창자에서 재고, 시간은 10분을 필요로 한다. 통상 37℃이하(겨드랑이)로, 입안 온도는 이보다 0.1~0.2℃ 높으며, 곧창자온도는 0.2~0.5℃ 높다. |

| 설명 | 1형 단순 헤르페스 바이러스(herpes simplex virus)의 감염에 의해서 생기는 피부병으로 주로입술에 병변을 가지는 병을 말한다. 입술포진(herpes labialis)와 동의어로 쓰인다. 즉 단순포진중 입주위에 생기는 것을 지정하는 말이다. 단순헤르페스(herpes simplex)란 보통 작은 물집이 여러 개 모여 생기는 피부병을 말한다. 잘 발생하는 곳은 입술, 외음부 등이며 주로 피부와 점막의 이행부에 나타난다. 물집은 쌀알만한 크기의 작은 물집 또는 고름을 포함하는 물집으로 몇 개가 무리를 지어 나타나는데, 며칠 지나면 물집의 막이 터지고, 피부의 표면이 진무르고 헐어서 작은 상처를 형성하여 노출된다. 그리고 딱지가 앉아 굳어진 다음 7~10일 가량 지나면 저절로 낫는다. 단순성 포진은 발생 부위에 따라서 입술포진과 음부포진으로 구분된다. 입술포진은 피로하거나 골프장 또는 해수욕장 등지에서 햇볕에 심하게 노출된 후에 유발되는 경우가 많다. 음부포진은 성교에 의하여 전염되는 경우도 있으며, 중증일 대에는 격심한 아픔을 수반하며 주위의 림프절의 종대를 초래하기도 한다. 직업상 접촉 기회가 많은 의사나 간호사의 경우는 손가락 끝에 발생할 때도 있다. 유아의 경우에는 고열과 인두통 등의 심한 증세가 나타나기도 하여 때로는 목숨까지 잃는다. |

| 설명 | Borrelia 속의 스피로헤타 감염에 의해서 생긴다. 이 진드기에 의해 매개되고 아프리카, 아시아, 미국, 유럽 등, 세계 각지에서 볼 수 있다. 잠복기는 3~10일에 오한, 전율, 두통, 구역 등을 수반하는 발열로 발생한다. 발열은 종종 40℃ 이상에 달하고 4~5일에 자연히 해열된다. 약 1주일의 무열기 뒤, 다시 똑같은 증상을 되풀이한다. 이와 같은 발작을 서너 번 되풀이한다. 혈액으로부터의 Borrelia 검출로 진단이 확정된다. 통상 혈액도말 표본을 감자염색해서 검출한다. 치료에는 페니실린, 테트라사이클린, 클로람페니콜이 효과적이다. |
