disintegrins <chemical> A family of polypeptides purified from snake venoms, which contain the arginine-glycine-aspartic acid (rgd) sequence. Disintegrins thus block adhesive functions and act as platelet aggregation inhibitors.
Pharmacological action: platelet aggregation inhibitors.
