The point on the chassis at which the vehicle balances with all components installed. CG is the three-dimensional balance point of the car. That is, there is a vertical CG as well as a horizontal CG All forces acting on the chassis can be considered to act through the chassis' center of gravity. Ideally, a vehicle's center of gravity should be as low as possible.

A CG flash that delivers positive charge to the ground, as opposed to the more common negative charge. Positive CGs have been found to occur more frequently in some severe thunderstorms. Their occurrence is detectable by most lightning detection networks, but visually it is not considered possible to distinguish between a positive CG and a negative CG.
